I bought a new Scion iQ in January (4 months ago). After I hit 3000 miles last week, I took it to the dealer to get its oil changed. I was told that I wouldn't need to get it changed until I hit 10,000 miles. The car uses synthetic oil. I was astounded as I had always changed my oil every 3000-5000 miles, but never 10,000. Doesn't that seem a bit high? If it's true, how come? I'm very suspicious . Any detailed explanation would be deeply appreciated. Thank you!
