I think we need to start a petition to Toyota. We should not take a chance that they may or may not release the iQ in the US. Lets show them that we DO want it. Does anyone know how to design a website for a petition? I can provide the web space. Or if the owner of iQ colony can provide a tab on the top for a petition.

Just google for it and you will find.

I can't remember ever seeing a petition like that taken seriously, perhaps because it's easy to manipulate them.
It will probably be more effective to contact Toyota directly, perhaps through a dealer.

I contacted my local dealer, still waiting for a reply. I know we did do a petition for Ikea to open a store in our area. It is being constructed now. Not sure if the petition helped or not? But we did get the desired result.

It doesn't hurt to start a petition. Just don't get too high expectations.
Was the Ikea petition on-line? A normal petition requires signatures, this is what separates it from the typical on-line petition. It is possible to use digital signatures, but it's quite bothersome to use such petitions IMO.
