Now that the iQ is available to order with deliveries set for January, who here has put in their order?

Amnesiac. Love your website. Obviously, you have a deep affection for the iQ, as many of us do. I was wondering whether you have, or will be ordering one for yourself?
I'm also curious as to whether Toyota has been in contact with you regarding this site; your interest in one of their products, and have revealed to you, any "inside information" as to it's debut in the USA? I know about the LA auto show introduction (hopefully). Is there anything else though? Thanks.

Hi ualcapjon1,

Thanks. Like yourself, I'm not as fortunate as everyone in Europe and Japan. I'm still waiting for that all important announcement for when the iQ will be available in North America. I would love to see one in person and be able to test drive one before I make the decision of ordering one.

The main reason that I made this site is that it can be a great resource for us iQ fans and so that we in North America can voice our opinions for Toyota to bring the iQ here. To answer your question, I have not been contacted by Toyota and do not have any inside info on the iQ coming across the pond. As you already know, whatever information I find, I share it here like many of the community members do.

Cheers

I think it is a bit too early to order before we know the versions.

I'm waiting for more info about the diesel, but here's what I'm gonna do when we get the fuel economy figures of that engine:

If it gets less than 28km/l: order a 1.0 petrol, 5 speed.
28 - 30km/l: wait until a test drive of both.
30 - 32km/l: talk with the dealer before deciding.
30km/l+: order the diesel right away!

AMnesiac,

Nice website (sorry, I kow, it's off topic).

Buy a iQ in Europe and have UPS/DHL or some other service eliver it to you........ the size of the iQ shouldn't be a problem. Ask someone traveling to Europe to bring you an iQ as a souvenir.

I know, if things were that easy.......... would be nice if Toyota caught up with this website and do you a favour. Make you THE US iQ driver. You're absolutely right, the iQ is SUPER. Why wait to bring it to the US?
