Page 82 of Novembers Automobile mag. indicates in fairly certain terms that the iQ should arrive on our shores by mid 2009, badged as a Scion. They talk about an electric version for Lexus, and the availability of a high performance edition. Engines: 68hp 3 pot manual or CVT, or, a 1.4 ltr turbo-diesel 4 cyl. Get this... 59mpg. Sure would be good to get confirmation on all of this. Also, I came across the June issue of Autocar magazine, a Euro publication, which has an in depth look at the iQ with some amazing full page photo's attached starting on page 50. The article explains the gestation of the iQ, and the ultra smart thinking behind its design.
