Hey everyone,

Since founding iQ Colony Forum back in the spring of 2008, I have always made certain that whenever changes were made to the website it was always for the betterment of the community. As my personal business commitments have increased significantly in the past year, I have come to realize that the forum may not be operating to its full potential with only the resources that I am able to provide. Therefore, I feel what is now best for the forum, is the professional assistance from a larger, fully staffed company.

Today I am announcing that iQ Colony has been acquired by AutoGuide.com, which operates a host of leading automotive websites such as ToyotaNation.com, ScionForum.com, and TundraSolutions.com.

With this acquisition, iQ Colony should be much better staffed to provide the services for growth that our community requires, from marketing to very capable technical and development teams.

Although I will no longer own the forum, my involvement will continue to assist AutoGuide.com during this transition period with my full support to ensure its continued success. I am looking forward to an exciting new era for AutoGuide.com.

Thank you,
Amnesiac (Tom)

Hello,

Just introducing myself to you, My name is Phil, I’m a Community Director for AutoGuide.com. So you are all familiar AutoGuide.com manages a number of different online communities. Currently I personally manage all of our sports and some motorcycle forums, and will be joining the iqcolony.com Admin Team.

What are our intentions?

We bring reliability, support and the infrastructure needed to ensure that the community will be around for years to come. It’s our goal to work with you to as a team to help provide the resources and required to give this community a broader reach, to attract new members to better the overall knowledge shared in the community.

Will leadership change?

Continuity is the focus here, Your Admins and Mods work very hard to keep the walls and the roof up in this place we are just here to make sure the lights stay on. Every community is unique and should always be respected in that regard. You guys have established your own unique rules and regulations and a strong reputation that is carried by all of this and it’s important that we maintain this level of integrity.

What am I here for?

My primary role is to be the technical contact as I said earlier you all built the foundation and keep the roof from falling, I am here keeping the lights on inside. I will be on the forum checking in daily to make sure regular maintenance is all taken care of and keep things running smoothly from behind the scenes.

I do look forward to getting to know you all and this unique community better.

Philip

edit: please excuse the appearance of this account, I am working on finding a suitable avatar.
