It is great to hear from someone who has both the smart and the iQ.    Smiley
I appreciate your experience.  I am surprised that your 2 yrs olds car seat and them doesn't fit.   That really is a short space!

Good to know.   I have heard others say that cargo slides around when the seats are flat.   I bought a few rubber made type boxes to keep in the back of whichever vehicle I purchase which will take care of prying eyes and flying objects and also keep things from melting (though this boxes may melt) in the Florida sun down here.

Has the iQ being released where you are brought down smart sales?    I am afraid that iQ will make smart pull from US down the road and I am worried about not being able to get parts for the smart if I go with it.   Of course that would depend on their price being comparable.  If the iQ is priced much higher, then smart might be safe.   Just pondering...

Best wishes.    Smiley

The seat for my son is quite big:

And the seat itself fits, but he can't keep his feet in front of him, he has to put one feet on either side of the drivers seat.

My daughter is almost four. She does fit in het seat:

The idea of rubber mats or boxes is a good one! I use velcro-holders. I also sewed a blanket onto the front end of the cover to prevent anyone form seeing what's insde.

I'm a big Smart fan. To bad my two kids don't fit (at the same time). And I still want a small car. The basic Smart is on sale here for € 9.000,- about the same as the basic Aygo. A basic iQ sels for € 12.000,-. The deluxe iQ (with all the options) will cost € 17.500,- About the same as the top top end of Smart (a Brabus Coupe). I think the Smart will apeal to different people than the iQ. If the sales wil be affected, I don't know and I don't know if anyone can tell just yet. The first genertation Smart was very popular as a marketing-car: fully printed. That was a hype. And the first generation suffered form bad gossip about the engine (but yes, there have been better engines). So the sales dropped from the first big boom, but I think they're quite steady now. I'll ask around on the Dutch Smart forum, maybe someone there nows more.

What I like least is how long it is taking to come here.   I really don't know if I can wait until 2011.
Why so long from now?   Bahhh.

(just venting you all)

I Do Not Like the way the IQ handles Stock.

I almost did not buy it due to the lousy handling, too much Body Sway

But I have since Installed the TRD Scion Rear Sway Bar Kit.

That Is a Major Improvement!!!!

It has made the IQ much Sportier, & a really decent handling car.

Problem solved, Thanks Scion for fixing the problem.
