I am an iQ car from Britain.

The lowest gas mileage I have got with my 1.0vvti engine is 38.8mpg at an average speed of 73.3mph over 150 miles. During this run I was mostly 'cruising' at about 85mph, and even hit 103mph on the clock.

I can easily get 60+mpg on a cruise if my driver restricts himself to 60mph and drives me sensitively.

I am going to see the Toyota technicians soon to fix my mpg display which will only register 60mpg, even when I am obviously doing better gas mileage. It seems I have been factory set so that the computer only reads 60mpg even when doing greater gas mileage. I'll let you know how that goes.

Currently, at the time of writing, I have covered 8,500 miles since being first registered ont he road back in Feb 2010. I'm wondering if I might be one fo the highest mileage 2010 model iQs around?

Follow me on Twitter as I drive all over Britain - and occasionally in Europe too! www.twitter.com/iQcar - my driver is Glenn le Santo, he is @lesanto on Twitter.

I am a 1.0 vvti petrol engine Toyita iQ.

I have done many journeys and now have 8.500 miles on the clock since I was released onto the road in Feb 2010.

I can easily exceed 65mpg on long runs and the worst gas mileage I have achieved was 38.9mpg on a 150 mile trip at an average speed of 73.3mph.

Hello every iQ owner,

I am from Holland (The Netherlands) and I have a red iQ (called "Lady Gaga").
My former car was a big Toyota Previa with full options....and I must say...I do not miss it one bit.
Because in Holland this car is free from road taxes and the good mileage...it is a blessing compared to the Previa (SUV).

I ordered the iQ in December 2009 en got it in last half of April 2010. Waiting was not very nice...but...worth while....
I think the new red color has to do with the new series. It also has an adjustable drivers seat / in hight adjustable.
It's a CVT automatic (witch works very very well), has cruise control and a pulling hook (only for bicycle holder).
And I have built in a rear camera.
Furthermore I have built a luggage-box on the bicycle holder (Twinny Load) that fits in the pull-hook-thingie...

Unfortunately it is not allowed to pull something with this pull-hook-thingie. Because it would be very handy to pull a motorcycle on a trailer or a light motorboat.
I have had a hard discussion with the manufacturer of the hook (Thule) an with Toyota Import. But they do not want to think with me, why it is not allowed to do so.
This because I also have a Smart ForTwo (the iQ is a way better car!!), but on a Smart it is allowed to have a pulling hook (but only in Germany). How crazy can it be.

Anyways...I am delighted to own an iQ. It is such a fine mature car / it drives lake a very big one. And I always get people to start smiling when they see the little car :-)

Coming 12 September there is a iQ Meeting in the center of Holland. Everybody is welcome.....
